My son and I met Jorge Lopez after the Orioles beat the Tampa Bay Rays 6-4 on July 16, 2022. As we were exiting the ballpark at Tropicana Field, I spotted a group of people standing outside of Gate 7. Some were wearing Orioles jerseys with the name Lopez on the back. I assumed it was probably family members of the Orioles pitcher, Jorge. My son and I decided to wait. About 5 minutes later, he exited out of Gate 7 as well! We approached him after a few minutes of hugging and chit-chatting with his crew. We asked him for an autograph and he was more than willing! He looked at the 2016 Bowman rookie card and said, "Whoa! Back in the day!". He signed the cards and handed them back and thanked us! I replied, "So many players don't like signing for their fans anymore. Thank you for taking the time out for us!" One of the ladies in his group overheard and gave an, 'Awwww'. Very happy to add Jorge into my collection.
